Unidex-50 IV Infusion is a highly concentrated, sterile hypertonic solution containing 50% Glucose (Dextrose). Manufactured in Nigeria by Unique Pharmaceuticals Limited, it serves as a rapid source of calories and is primarily used for the emergency management of severe hypoglycemia (critically low blood sugar).
This 100ml infusion is produced using advanced Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology to ensure the highest standards of sterility and safety. Due to its high concentration (50g of glucose per 100ml), Unidex-50 is considered a Prescription-Only Medicine (POM) and must be administered under strict medical supervision.
Indications and Uses
Unidex-50 is indicated for:
