How DuoBriza Works
This eye drop contains a dual-action formula of two active ingredients:
- Brinzolamide: A carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that works by reducing the amount of fluid produced within the eye.
- Brimonidine Tartrate: An alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that reduces fluid production and improves the drainage of fluid out of the eye.
Together, these ingredients help maintain a healthy eye pressure, which is critical for protecting the optic nerve and preventing vision loss.
How to Use DuoBriza Eye Drops
For the best results, use DuoBriza exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. The standard dose is typically one drop in the affected eye(s) three times a day.
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Squeeze one drop into the pocket without letting the dropper touch your eye or any other surface.
- Close your eye and press gently on the inner corner for 1 to 2 minutes to keep the medicine in the eye.
If you are using other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between each one.
